At least 100 killed in a deadly gas explosion in south eastern Nigeria state of Anambra.

   An industrial Gas plant explosion in Nnewi, Anambra state have left 100 people dead. The explosion occurred when a truck was discharging its contents which was believed to be cooking gas. Most of those who lost their lives in the deadly blaze were burned beyond recognition. The ugly incident occurred just twenty four to the most celebrated Christian festival (Christmas). Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari in a statement expressed sincere sympathy to the family who lost their love ones. The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Deadly fire in Saudi Arabia left 25 people killed.

  At least 25 people have lost their lives after a deadly fire broke out in a hospital in the Gulf kingdom of Saudi Arabia. About 107 people were also injured in the deadly blaze which started at around 2.30 am Saudi time. Most of the injured were reported to be patients who are taking treatment at the hospital. The fire occurred at the general hospital in Kazan, thge capital of Kazan region. Report said the huge fire started in the intensive care and maternity department in the general hospital. According to a witness, the fire may likely caused by an electrical fault. It may recall that hundreds of people lost their lives in a stamped while attending a Haji in Saudi Arabia.

Israeli airstrikes near Damascus kills Top Hezbollah commander.

    Israeli airstrikes near Syria capital, Damascus left Senior Lebanese militia commander killed . Samir Quntar was killed when Israeli missiles struck a home where he was staying near Damascus. Kuntar spent years in Israeli prison and was set free by Israel after Hezbollah and the Jewish State reached prisoner swap deal in 2008. Israel has not deny the claim or comfirm it was responsible. Israel is known for not commenting in cases like that. Hezbollah Secretary general has yet to respond to the claim but it is usual that he will comment either through a live broadcast or press released.

Russian destroyers fires warning shots at Turkey vessel.

     A Russian destroyer assigned to help President Assad of Syria fight rebels had fired a warning shot at Turkey ship as the vessel was reportedly sailed close to Russian destroyer. Russian Defence ministry said the vessel refused to abide by different warning issued to it to take another route. The Defence ministry said it had summoned the Turkish military attache in Russian to answer some questions regarding the unexpected incident. The warning shot come less than 60 days after Turkish military shot down Russian fighter jet for voilating its airspace. Russian vowed that Turkey will be punished for shooting down Russian warplanes, which claimed the live of a pilot. It may recalled that Russia deployed troops to Syria to help President Assad clip to power. Russia claimed, it mission is to fight terrorist especially Islamic State but so far 98% of Russia airstrikes actually targeted so called Syria moderate rebels.

Afghanistan Taliban fighters attacks Kandahar airport.

    Afghanistan Taliban militants who once ruled the country but ousted by U.S coalition forces almost 11 years  launched a surprised attack on Kandahar airport in Southern Afghanistan today, December 8, 2015.The fighters were reported to had taken position inside a school and started exchanging heavy gun battle with the country security forces. According to spokesman for the provincial governor, there was no report of casualties. Taliban spokesman said its fighters stormed the airport ground and were exchanging gun fire with Afghanistan security forces.

Yemen Aden Governor killed in Islamic State suicide attack.

    The newly appointed Governor of the port city of Aden, Major General Jaafar Mohammed Saad, was killed in a deadly suicide blast on his way to work. Five of his bodyguards were also killed in the deadly suicide attack. Islamic State group claimed responsibility of the deadly attack which left about six people dead. The late Major General Jaafar Mohammed was a close friend to Yemen President Hadi who controls Aden region after Iran back Houthi rebels captured Yemeni capital of Sana'a which forced the legitimate President of Yemen to fled to neighboring Saudi Arabia. President Hadi later returned to Yemen after Saudi led coalition drove Houthi fighters out of Aden. The Iran backed Houthi rebels still controls the capital Sana'a.

Deadly shooting in California left 14 dead as attacker allegedly pledge allegiance to Islamic State.

 A deadly shooting at holiday party in California, U.S had left 14 people killed and 21 others injured. Two suspected attackers were killed in a gun battle with the Police. The suspected attackers who were identified as Shed Rizwan Farook, 28 years old and his wife Yashfeen Malik. The female attacker named Yashfeen Malik was alleged to had pledge allegiance to the leader of Islamic State on her Facebook account shortly before the deadly shooting. The attack come few weeks after deadly attack struck Paris. The attack was a terrorist attack which Islamic State allegedly claim responsibility of
 After the deadly attack in Paris, U.S president Barrack Obama vowed to stepped up attack against Islamic State. Although, similar shooting in US is common as U.S laws allows citizen to carry arms for self defense.

German cabinet approves plan to send 1200 strong forces to fight Islamic State.

     Germany's parliament has approved plan to deployed 1200 strong forces to fight Islamic State. The move come few weeks after French President requested Germany support for the fight against Islamic State. French President requested Germany assistant to fight Islamic State after a deadly terrorist attack in Paris that claimed the life of about 120 persons. The troops are expected to provide support to French aircraft carrier, which was sent to Mediterranean to fight Islamic State group. Terrorist associated with Islamic State said they were behind the deadly attack that left 100 killed in Paris. U.S led coalition has been striking Islamic State target for up to 12 months now but many analyst said the airstrikes are ineffective as Islamic State continue to capture more territory in Iraq and Syria.
