Reports from Israel Channel 2 and the Times of Israel said Qatar government had reported paid 25 million U.S dollars to AlQaeda affilate Nusra Front for the release of 45 Fijian Peace keeping forces kidnapped by the terrorist group few weeks ago. The Times of Israel was quoting Israeli Channel 2 reporter. Shortly after their release, Iran State run media accused Qatqr of providing financial assistance to terrorist, a charge Qatar rejected.
