Taliban militants attacks a prison, set free more than 350 prisoners in Afghanistan.


    Afghanistan Taliban have stormed a prison in eastern town of Ghani and set free at least 350 prison inmates. One of the militants was reported to have blew himself up at the entrance gate of the prison, giving way to other Taliban fighters to invade the prison and forcefully open the prison gate, prompted inmates to escaped, according to the BBC, cited provincial governor. Afghanistan based Khama press cited the country's interior minister as saying out of the 436 prison mates, 355 managed to escaped the cell. After the well coordinated attack, Taliban spokesman, claimed they were behind the attacked which also left 4 police officers dead. Taliban militants have carried several attacks in Afghanistan which has claimed tens of thousands of lives since the U.S invade the country.
