About 500 African migrants are feared to have drowned after the boat carrying them from Egypt to Malta was apparently rammed and delibrately sunk by people traffickers. The survivors said the traffickers order the migrants to change vessels in the middle of the Mediterrinean. The migrants refused, leadingto confrontation thatend up to disaster.
