US fighter jets intercepts eight Russian military planes that neared restricted space.

 US authorities say two F-22 fighter jet intercepted six Russian military airplanes that neared the western coast of Alaska. Lt. Col. Michael Jazdyk, a spokesman of the North American Aerospace Defence Command, says the jet intercepted the planes about 88.5 nautical km from the Alaskan coast at about 7pm.
