BREAKING NEWS: AirAsia plane with 162 passengers aboard Missing over Pacific.



           An AirAsia plane with 162 people aboard lost contact with ground control on Sunday after taken off from Indonesia on the way to Singapore, and search and rescue operations were underway. Flight QZ8501 lost communication with Indonesia's air traffic control at 07.24 a.m Singapore time, about an hour before it was scheduled to land in Singapore, the Singapore Civil Authority said in a statement. Trikora Raharjo, the General manager of Surabaya's Juanda airport told the Associated Press that the aircraft was carrying 155 passenger and six crew members. 149 of the passengers were from Indonesia, Raharjo said.
