Palestinian statehood reolution fails at UN Security Council.

The UN Security Ciuncil on Tuesday rejected a resolution on Palestinian statehood, with the Palestinians failing to get the minimum nine "Yes" votes required for adoption by the 15 UN Security Council members. Eight voted for the motion, and two voted against, with five abstentions, the times of Israel reported. US Ambassodor to the UN Samantha Power said in comments after the vote that instead of giving voice to the aspirations of both Palestinians and Israelis, this text addresses only one side.
