A South African pastor, prophet Penuel Muguni of the End times Disciplines ministries in Soshanguve, Pretoria has commanded his congregation to eat live snakes. He once told his congregation to drink petrol, eat grasses etc. According to Citizen, the activity was based on a sermon regarding faith, in which the pastor said that he had "the authority to change everything into anything and it will obey because of our authority". The church was reported to have posted the photos on their facebook wall for people to see. Earlier this year, he told worshippers to take off their clothes and he subsequently began to sit on them while praying for them.
