The Islamic State has reported to have behead two female civilians for "witchcraft and sorcery". The Britain based Syria Observatory For Human Rights said Islamic State killed the two women in Dair Ezzor province. The punishments were reported to have carried out against the women and their husband in public on Sunday and Monday, according to the Observatory. Islamic State also hanged two youths in previous week after accusing them of not taking part in fasting during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, according to the BBC. Reuters news agency cited Activist as saying Islamic State uses public punishment in areas where it present to control people through coercoin and fear.
