15 people killed when masked gunmen attack Garissa University in northeast Kenya.

     An "unknown number of student hostage" have been taken by heavily armed masked gunmen who have killed at least 15 people after attacking a Garissa University in Kenya. Kenya Red Cross official said at least 65 people, were injured by the masked gunmen and have been rushed to hospital, Kenya Daily Nation reported. Militant Islamist group al-shabaab said it carried out the attack, BBC reported. Police and soldiers surrounded the campus abd were attempting to flush out the gunmen, Joseph Boinet, Kenya's inspector general, said in a statement. Alshabaab vowed to punish Kenya for sending troops into Somalia alongside African Union Peacekeepers fo fight and dislodge the Islamist terrorist group.
