Former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi sentenced to 20 years in prison.

       Mohammed Morsi who was ousted by Egyptian military as the first democratically elected president of Egypt has been sentencedto 20 years in prison. The ruling, which can be appealed, and muted Islamist reaction folliwing it underscore the drammatic downfall of Morsi. The court found Morsi and 14 other members of the Muslim Brotherhood guilty of inciting violence against protesters who had staged a sit-in outside the presidential Palace in 2012, when Morsi was still Egypt's president. Morsi, who was deposed on July 3 after mass protests against his government, had won Egypt's first democratic elections since the ousted of Hosni Mubarak. Acording CNN, Muslim Brotherhood spokesnan Mohamed Montasser said on his Twitter account that revolution will be ignited and popular anger will increase.
