Iraqi forces take back Central Tikrit from Islamic State.

       Iraqi prime minister has announced that Iraqi forces backed by Shai militias have recapture centre of Tikrit from Islamic. In a statement on Tuesday, prime minister Haider al-Abadi praised the forces that take part in the operation and said troops are moving forward to control the entire city. Army Lt. Gen. Talib Shaghati said at least 75 percent of the city had been recaptured. "I think the whole city will be retaken within the coming 24 hours"  Hikmat said. In an official statement from his office said the troops "hoisted the Iraqi flag" over the Salahuddin provincial headquaters in Tikrit and are moving to control the entire city. Abadi's spokesman Rafid Jaboori told the AFP news agency that in their push from southern Tikrit, security forces and paramilitary figjters retook the governor's headquater and the main hospital, which had been occupied by ISIL.
