36 people dead in Philippines after Ferry carrying nearly 200 capsized



     At least 36 people lost their lives after a passenger boat with nearly 200  people on board capsized in central Philippines, official said. The ferry was also carrying 16 crew members. The coast guard spokesman Armand Balilo said at least 127 people have been rescued, while 26 people were still missing. The head of Philippine National Red Cross Richard Gordon told AFP that 118 survivors have been rescued from the sea and 38 people have died so far and 33 still missing, according to ABC. The country's navy spokesman, Lt. James Reyes said navy divers were also helping in the search abd rescue efforts to save life, according to CNN. Television footage showed coast guard vessels bringing survivors to safety.
