Egypt's warplane launched air attack against extremist militant operating in Northern Siani on Thursday killing 23. The air raid came 24 hours after militants affiliates to Islamic State launched a major attack against Egyptian security forces, killing 17 soldiers. The attack led to clashes between the attackers and Egyptian forces, which Egyptian army claimed killed 100 militants. Reuters news agency reported that those killed in the air attack were among those who carried out Wednesday attack.Egyptian forces also reported to have carried out house to house search of militants house in the town of Sheikh Zuwed. El-Watan daily reported that militants used mortar, anti-aircraft gun and guided missiles in Wednesday militant deadly attack.
