Burundi ruling Party wins contraversial legislative poll.
Burundi ruling party has won the parliamentary election which was boycotted by the nation's main opposition political parties. The incumbent president political party slept the votes with 70 out of 100 elected seats in parliament, local media reported. Mr Pierre Nkurunziza defy protesters who are calling on him to drop his third term presidential bid which the opposition say is against the constitution. Mr Nkurunziza is expected to win the upcoming presidential election. Section of the country's army tried to toppled the president this year when the president travelled for regional summit but the coup failed as a result of lack of support by majority of the nation's armed forces were not in support of the coup. Mr Nkurunziza is on his second term which suppose to be his last term but he made his intention known that he wound run for third term.
