Iraqi court sentences 24 men to death over Camp Speicher Massacre.


   An Iraqi court sentenced 24 people to death over the murder of hundreds of soldiers during Islamic State offensive in northern parts of the country in 2014. About 1700 soldiers were captured by Islamic State when the group advanes in Iraq in June last year. The soldiers were tortured, and executed by Islamic State near the city of Tikrit. The sentenced men identity were not revealed. Nearl 600 bodies of victims were exhumed from mass grave where they were buried. Reports  said all 24 denied any involvement in the massacre, comitted when Islamic States captured the town in june last year. Islamic State posted images and video last year showing fighters killing Iraqi soldiers who mostly Shia. Iraqi government blames Islamic State and late Sadam Hussien party for the killing.
