Afghanistan security forces since March 3 killed at least 121 Taliban militants, wounded 27 and arrested 13 others, during operations in Nangarhar, Takhar, Kunduz, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Herat, and Helmand provinces, the Interior ministry said. The statement added that 23 foreign nationals were among the militants killed. According to the statement, at least one suspect was also injured. A large cache of weapons and ammunition were also seized. Taliban have not yet made any comment on the issue. After Aghan forces taking full responsibility for security from NATO forces in the beginning of the year, the operations are the largest operation conducted independently by Afghanistan national army, Aletejah tv reported.
