Report: Boko Haram kidnaps 500 children in Northern Nigeria town of Damasak.

       About 500 children in the range of 11 years and below are missing from Damasak, a Nigeria town recaptured from Boko Haram Islamist, local media reported. A trader in the town said that Boko Haram fighters took the children with them when they fled. Troops from Niger and Chad recaptured Damasak earlier in March, ending months of control by the militants. The parents who spoke to BBC in Maiduguri feared that their children and wards were abducted when the town fell under the Islamist milutants control; and they coudn't find them even after their return now, daily trust reported. A trader in the town told Reuters news agency that the Islamist militants killed about 50 people before abducting women and children.
