At least 30 people have been killed after a U.S led coalition air strike in Syria hit an oil refinery run by the Islamic States group near the boder with Turkey on Sunday, the Syria Observatory for Human Right said. Explosions at the refinery at Tel Abyad, near the Turkish border, lit up the night sky, an eyewitness watching from across the frontier said. The dead were refinery workers ad Islamic States fighers, said Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Observatory. Islamic State has seized wide areas of Syria and Iraq declaring them part of a cross - border " Caliphate" It may recall that US and its allies have been bombarding Islamic States targets which US said, it is an action to " degrade and destory" ISIS.
