Thousands Turns out in Singapore to pay last respects to Singapore Founding Father, Lee Kuan Yew.



           Thousands of people line the streets from parliament House, all the way to the heartland of Singapore to bid their founding father Lee Kuan Yew goodbye. People began gathering shortly after dawn on Sunday for the funeral cortege, which begins early in the afternoon. Torrential rains poured as thousands of countrymen, some holding umbrella, some with flowers, lined the streets to attend the funeral procession. Reuters news agency quoted Barack Obama as saying Lee Kuan Yew is " a true giant of history" who advice on government and economic development had been sought by other world leader. Lee was Singapore first prime minister rrom 1956 to 1990 and died Monday, aged 91.
