Sierra Leone's Vice President Samuel Sam - Sumana has gone into hiding while he request asylum at the United States of America embassy in Freetown, the Sierra Leone capital. The vice president was expelled from the rulling All People's Congress (APC) Party this month for what was described as " his anti party activities" which the vice president rejected. " I will not resign, I want to seek justice", he said. " I ran out of my house when the soldiers rushed in" he explained. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports indicate that a high level party meeting is taking place to find his successor. According local media in Sierra Leone, The vice president was in self imposed quarantine following the death of one of his aids with suspected deadly dsease. His body guards was reportedly disarmed when military personnel were deployed around his house.
