Pakistani Airstrikes Near Afghanistan border kills 30 militants.


            Pakistan's military said Wednesday it had killed 30 militants in airstrikes on a region near the Afghanistan border. An army statement says that " two arms and ammunition dumps" were also destroyed in the airstrikes in a remote part of the insurgency hit Khyber tribal district. The semi - authonomous tribal regions on Pakistan's border with Afghanistan have been a hideout for militants group. Pakistani media Dawn cited sources as saying Lashkar-e-Islam spokesman Salahuddin Ayubi was among those killed. Reuters news agency cited intelligence sources as saying scores of alleged militants and seven Pakistani soldiers have been killed. Pakistani authorities has launched military offensive to dislodge Taliban and other militants group operating especially the tribal region and Afghanistan border with Pakistan.
