A suicide bomber kills 27, wounds 227 in a Shia mosque in Kuwait.




     A deadly bombing on a Shia mosque in Kuwait had left 27 people dead and 227 wounded, Kuwait health ministry said. Islamic State claimed responsibilties for the attack and identified the bomber as Abu Suleiman al-muwahed and said the target was a "temple of the rejectionist", Alarabiya reported. Kuwait's prime minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah has described the attack as an attempt to undermine unity in the country. Video footage showed several bodies on the floor of the mosque amid debris and clouds of heavy smoke, according to Aljazeera. Witness said worahippers werw praying when the bomber struck.
