Algerian born Al-Qaeda militant leader in north Africa have been killed in US airstrikes in Libya. The Pentagon said Belmokhtar had been targeted of the airstrikes but did not confirm he had been killed. The Libyan government said the airstrike were sucessful and killed Belmokhtar and several others in Ajdabiya, according to the Associated Press. Major Mohammed Hegazi said two foreign fighters were among the 17 killed in the airstrike.
