Egypt court confirms death sentence for ousted president Morsi.

A court in Egypt has confirmed a death sentence handed to ousted president Mohammed Morsi over a mass prison break during 2011 uprising. The ruling comes after the court consulted Egypt grand Mufti, the religion body that interpretes Islamic law who plays an advisory role, Aljazeera news network reported. The rulling was read out by Judge Shaaban al-shami. The Mufti's opinions are not binding, and ruling will be transfer to Egypt's highest appeal Court for final judgement. Meanwhile, Turkey's president Tayyip Erdogan described the sentence as " massacre of law and basic rights". "We call on the international community to act to withdraw these death sentences, given under the instructions of the coup regime, Erdogan said in a statement.
