At least 66 killed after taking poisonous home made alcoholic drink in south-south Nigeria.

     At least 66 people have been confirmed dead in River state after allegedly taken poisonous home-made alcoholic drink popularly called Ogogoro in Nigeria. The death was recorded in four local government areas of the state, with fresh casulties recorded in Ahoad, Gokana, Bonny island and Obio- Akpor. Dr Simeon Ibufubara manuel of the state Health Ministry says the death toll has risento 68 dead since May 31. Meanwhile, follwing the death of 66 death attributed to poisonous home made alcohol intake, the Federal  Government of Nigeria on Monday banned the consumption of local gin popularly called Ogogoro in all parts of the country.
