A 21-year-old suspected of shootin nine worshippers dead at an African-American church in Charleston, United States has been charged with nine counts of murder, police say. On Friday afternoon, Roof appeared before a Charleston judge via video conference from jail. The 21 year-old was arrested by police in Shelby, North Carolina, on thursday following the tragic shooting which left nine worshippers dead. Roof allegedly has a racially charged history. A Facebook picture shows Roof wearing a jacket depicting the flag of racist regimes in South, including apartied South Africa and Rhodesia. The suspected shooter was charge hours after he confessed to carry out the attack.
