At least 164 killed after Islamic State fighters disguised as Kurdish YPG fighters infiltrate Syria city of Kobani.

    Islamic State fighters who disguised as Kurdish fighters attack Kobani, Kurdish city in Syria. At least 164 civilians were killed in the attack. The Kurdish YPG fighters described the attack on Kobani as a "suicide mission" rather than an attempt to capture the town, Christianstoday reported citing reuters. 120 civilians were killed in a 24-hours rampage on Kobani, and another 26 were executed in a nearby village, the Syria Observatory For Human Right said. The assault also claimed the lives of 42 Isamic State fighters and 10 Kurd. The attack is discribed as one of the worst massacres carried out by Islamic State fighters in Syria. "According to medical sources and Kobani residents, 120 civilians were executed by Islamic State fighers in the homes or killed by the group's rockets or snipers", Director of Syria Observatory For Human Right Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.
