More than 230,000 people killed in Syria conflict.

         The deadly war in Syria which started in 2011 has left more than 230,000 people dead including nearly 11,500 children, UK based Syria Observatory for Human Right said. The death toll include 69,494 civilians, among them 11,493 children and 7,371 women. More than 85,500 government forces---soldiers and militiamen - have been killed, along with over 41,000 rebels, Syria jihadists and Kurdish fighters, the Observatory said. The conflict started as a peaceful protest demanding the step down of President Assad but the security forces tried to end the protest brutally with forced some of the protesters to take arms and rebel against their country. Today many of the militants operating in the country are non Syrians. Jihadist militants group used the opportunity of the instability to captured territories from the goverment.
