FIFA president Sepp Blatter has announced his willingness to step down from the football governing body amid corruption scanda rocking the body. " I have deeply reflected on my presidency and my past 40 years at FIFA" Blatter said during a news conference in Zurich. Batter said he will call an extra ordinary congress " as rapid as possible" to choose a successor.His resignation comes after 14 top official of FIFA were charge with high level corruption by the FBI last week. Blatter announced his decision to resign just four days after he was re-elected for the fifth time as the president of FIFA. Blatter who has been president of FIFA since 1998, was largely criticized for recent corruption scanda rocking the football govering body.
