Israeli Defence Force have launched an airstrike in the Gaza strip in response to a rocket attack from the Hamas controls territory, Israeli media reported. There were no reported casualties from the air raid, which came on the heels of the third rocket attack fron Gaza in the past two weeks. According to Israeli force statistics 11,000 rocets have been fired from Gaza into Israel since 2005 when Israel willingly withdrew from Gaza. A local Jihadist group that supports the Islamic State group claimed responsibilities for the rocket attack.
