A bomb blast at a mosque along the polular Yan Kwali area of Maiduguri have left 11 people dead and 28 injured. The explosion occured after the first " Rakaat" of the Friday prayer session. Witnesses said the bomb went off seconds after worshippers started their congregational request to God. The attack occured barely a day after the inauguration of president Mohammadu Buhari, also swore to crush the Islamist militant group and move the command Centre for military operations away from Abuja, the Nigeria's capital to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. CNN citing Borno state police commissioner Aderemi Opadokun reported that 26 people were killed and 28 injured. A witness had told Governor Kashim Shettima that 16 people died.
