The State Department has approved the sale of 10 MH - 60R Seahawk helicopters to Saudi Arabia for 1.9 billion dollars, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on 20 May. Accordingto reuters news agency, Saudi government had asked for a sale of the 10 MH 60R multi - mission helicopters. For years now the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had been requesting for these helicopters, radars, missiles and othe equipment. The MH - 60 R helicopter is the US Nay primary anti - submarine and anti - surface warfare platform, and the most advanced maritimime muti - mission helicopter in oeration.
