Colombia warplane hits FARC guerillas rebels target, killing at least 18 fighters.


        A bombing raid by Colombia Airforce jets killed 18 FARC guerrilla fighters, the diest since the president ordered the resumption of air bombardment against the rebels who had been fighting the government since 1964. The bombing took place in the Cauca department on the pacific coata area. The president of country in a tweet after the attack said " The offensive continues untill peace is achieved hopefully as soon as possible" Meanwhile, the Guerilla fighters (FARC)  had suspended their unilateral ceasefire in response to a governmenr airstrike that killed 26 rebels according to reports. Military confrontation between FARC Guerilla fighter and the Colombia government had been ongoing since 1964 and estimated of 220,000 people had been killed since the conflict began.
