U.N says nearly 25,000 people have fled Ramadi after Islamic State capture the city.


       The United Nation agencies are rushing humanitarian assistance to people fleeing Ramadi. The agency said 25,000 people have fled Ramadi following Islamic State attack and fierce fighting in the city, relief web reported. Islamic State group posted images of its flag flying over the city- which lies around 78 miles away from the capital, Baghdad. U.S joint chief of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey, called Islamic State gain " a serious setback" for both the city's Inhabitants and the Iraqi security Forces. Meanwhile, popular Mobilisation Committees, a group of largely shia, were called up by the prime minister, Haider al-Abadi to help retake the city. U.S led warplanes have stepped up raids against Islamic State, conducting 19 airstrikes near Ramadi over the past 72 hours.
