6.8 magnitude earthquake hits Papua New Guinea.

       A 6.8 magnitude earthquake has hit Papua New Guinea with US Geological Survey warning people to expects aftershocks. There have been no reports of danages or casualties. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said hazardous tsunami waves were possible within 186 miles of the epicentre. The earthquake struck on Friday, 128km south-south west of Rabaul, at a depth of 61km, the US Geological Surveys said. " This is the second earthquake that has occured in that region over the last two days". Co-director of the joint Austrialian Tsunami Warning Centre Daniel Jaksa told Associted France Press. Earthquake are common in Papua New Guinea.
