Heat wave kills over 750 in India.


        A severe heat wave has killed over 750 people in India, mostly in two southeastern states, the Hinustan Times reported. The worst - hit area is the Southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh, where authorities say 852 people have died in the heat wave. Sada Bhargaui, a senior disaster management official confirmed that Telangana death toll was 215 since the heart wave began on May 15. There might be a slght change in teperature after May 31, "CNN-IBN quoted Meteorological Department Director Sharat Chandra Sahu as saying. Sources said that temperatures in Telangana's Khammam district soared to more than 48 degrees Celsius (118 Fahrenheit) on Saturday. " The majority of the victims are people who have been exposed to the sun directly, usually aged 50 and above and from the working classes"P Tulsi Rani, special commissioner of Andhra, a Pradesh's disaster management Department, told AFP.
