Senior Islamic State member killed in US raid in Syria.

        US special forces overnight killed a key Islamic State leader in a raid in eastern Syria, the White House said  Saturday. The Islamic State commander killed was alleged to he in charge of their lucrative oil business. The original aim was to take Sayyat alive, the soldiers killed him when he tried to fight back. Items such as Laptop and cell phones which coud provide an insight into Isamic State's oil smuggling operation were recovered. The American Delta Force Commadors enteredthe building were they found Abu Sayyat and his wife Umm Sayyat, in a room together. He was captured and later moved to a US military facility in Iraq, official said. According to the White House statement, at least 12, Islamic State members were killed during the raid. American forces suffered no causualties. US led coalition has been bombing Islamic State target since 2014 with the aim of weakening the group. But many analyst believe the airstrikes is ineffective because Islamic State has made gains in capturing territories in Syria and Iraq since the air raid began.
