More than 50 dead, dozens injured in Colombia Landslide.




        At least 50 people lost their lives in Colombia after powerful and massive landslide torn  through a ravine in northwest of the country. At least 37 people were injured in the massive landslide in Salgar, 60 miles southwest of Medelin. The national disaster unit said in a statement that 52 people were killed and 37  others had been treated for injuries. Heavy rain had  began falling the previous evening and caused flooding in the hill above the town. Residents were shown digging through rubbles with sticks and their hands, looking for survivors.  The small town of Santa Marganta was practically " wipe off the map" , according to abc citing the Mayor Salgar's Mayo Olga Osories. Colombia president said government will provide aid to the victims.
