About 57 Taliban fighters have been killed and 35 injured in latest military offensive across Afghanistan, Interior ministry said on Saturday morning. Afghan forces launched the operation in the provinces of Badakhshan, Baghlan, Faryub, Ghazni, Helmand, Herat, Khost, Kunduz, Logar and many others, Afghanlocal media reported. The security forces seized weapons besides defusing several roadside bombs and anti vehicle mnes. The Taliban militant group has yet to make comment. It was immediately clear if there were any casualties on the side of governent troops. Khaama press reported citing Interior mnistry statement saying two militants were also arrested during the offensive.
